We are very proud of the way we work and pride ourselves on providing a great service - but don't just take it from us, here are a few Case Studies written by the clients themselves.
Client: Bond Bryan Architects Project: MySpace for learning Date: June 2009
BACKGROUND
We wanted to use the medium of film to explore what makes an inspirational leaning environment. We decided to employ a filmmaker who could work with ourselves and two local schools to establish what children want from the spaces they learn in.
We spoke to several local companies but were particularly impressed by Phil’s portfolio and enthusiasm. We felt he had the imagination, adaptability and interpersonal skills needed to record the event and interact with the children and ourselves.
CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS
Due to the nature of the event the filming had to take place with no script or storyboard. Phil had to record the event and come up with a story line with very little input from ourselves.
EXECUTION Phil filmed continuously during the four days of workshop. He then edited the footage down and came up with a storey line. He was constantly in touch with us letting us know how it was progressing. We met with him on several occasions to ensure the corporate message was clear whilst Phil took responsibility for the story and artistry.
The final product was second to none, concisely capturing the children’s ideas whilst retaining their excitement and enthusiasm for the task.
VERDICT To say we were pleased with the service and the film would be an understatement. The service was excellent. The film looks extremely professional; the quality of the image and sound is perfect, whilst the seamless flow of the story keeps people’s attention. Phil was thorough, creative, personable and extremely hardworking. We would not hesitate to recommend him.
Client: Yorkshire Forward Project: World Championships Volleyball Viral Video Date: November/December 2008
BACKGROUND I’d been aware of Phil’s work since 2006. We had met previously and were introduced by a mutual friend/collaborator. As a documentary maker, Phil’s subject matter and treatment of subject were fantastic and I was particularly impressed by his cinematography and could tell that he was clearly a very talented film maker. This led me to ask him to pitch for a very different project, a viral that we were putting together to support Sheffield hosting the World Volleyball Championship ultimately raising awareness of, and driving traffic to, the event.
CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS We faced an incredibly tight timescale to concept, shoot and edit the video. I like to get my sleeves rolled up on a project and work with a film maker and Phil was a great director to work with in that sense. I feel we produced something together that was very engaging, very cool and uniquely Sheffield.
EXECUTION The execution of the whole project was excellent, collaborative, innovative, perfect and successful.
VERDICT Phil was great to work with and we continue to talk regularly. He’s clearly very talented but not in the least bit precious, which is rare. The end result was a runaway success and got in several viral video charts.
Client: Sheffield International Venues Project: Fitness Unlimited Promotional DVD Date: 2006-Present
BACKGROUND SIV, one of the UK’s largest leisure facilities providers, identified a need for a promotional DVD to be used across its sports venues as a strong sales and marketing tool for its award winning health and fitness scheme – Fitness Unlimited. Quick Feet had worked with SIV on various projects before and due to its knowledge of the company and its facilities seemed the obvious choice for this project.
CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS The DVD needed to serve two main purposes – internal brand reinforcement and external brand awareness and profile raising. Although we knew the message, we needed help creatively on how best to deliver this. The major challenge for Quick Feet was to produce a multipurpose DVD, catering for both existing and potential clients. Phil took on board our requirements and produced a storyboard that combined our key corporate messages using all our venues. Phil edited down all the footage and produced a DVD that was just under 3 minutes long. He took time out to visit and film at each relevant venue building up a library of suitable images. The result, after careful editing, was a three minute long DVD tailored to our individual requirement.
EXECUTION Phil kept in touch with us throughout the project, keeping us up to date with progress and checking that our key messages remained clear. He was professional and personable throughout the whole process and the finished product was superb.
VERDICT Phil produced a professional final product that exceeded all of our expectations. We now have a well produced, succinct DVD that can be used as a quality marketing tool both internally and externally. We would not hesitate to work with Quick Feet again. |
